Story
If you know me well then you will know that I am not a born runner - however, I have decided to take on the challenge of the Great North Run 2013 half marathon this September . I am doing this on behalf of Marie Curie Cancer Care who provide a brilliant service to cancer patients needing end of life care and support and run hospices up and down the country.
Since its beginnings in 1981, the Great North Run has become the largest half marathon in the UK, taking participants from Newcastle to South Shields across a challenging course for 13 miles.
This said; I am going for a distance rather than speed approach - but would greatly appreciate any contribution at all for this worthwhile charity, and to help spur me on to the finish line
