For some crazy reason, at the beginning of the year I was persuaded by a friend to do "The Three Peaks Challenge", attempting to climb Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike and Snowdon in under 24 hours.   As Simon will confirm "Lucinda does not run and does not do hills"... I am now having to do the former to get fit enough to accomplish the latter!  

Apart from taking on this challenge for myself, I have also decided to help raise money for Breast Cancer research. We all know someone who has been affected by Breast Cancer; I became much more aware of it recently when a friend passed away, leaving behind a young family.   The charity has already made great progress from the funds raised, through 103 research projects throughout the UK, leading to improved diagnosis, treatment, prevention and cure.  However  it is never enough and your donation will work towards making the difference in cases like my friends in the future.
