Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
Sophie was born 09/03/10 with a cleft lip and pallet. Thankfully found out at 20 week scan which gave me plenty of time to research on just what this would entail. With the help of the CLAPA team i was given as much or little information as i wanted and not to mention the help that was availabile to me when required.
Sophie, had her lip operation on 3rd August 2010 at Nottingham Queens medical Centre. She recovered really well and her surgeon did a fantastic repair to her lip. We are now a month past her pallet operation which was the biggest of the two. Although she still has lots of stitches in her mouth she again has recovered remarkably quick.
Sophie still has many operations to come her way in the future. With this in mind I have enetered the Belfast Marathon to raise money for CLAPA. The charity has been a huge help to me and I feel this is something i can give back on behalf of Sophie and myself.
Training has started and i think it is fair to say i am dreading the whole experiance but would really appreciate if you could help to support the charity that has helped Sophie and I so much.
