October Challenge Poldark Costume Walk · 6 October 2017

It costs £1,700 per year for every mile of the glorious South West Coast Path to be kept open, safe and clearly signed. We’re asking for your support to help us keep the path open and accessible for all.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Walk date now set for Thursday 26 October 2017

I will walk 7.5 miles on the coastal path from Polruan to
Polperro, covering 3000 ft of ascent, dressed in a reconstruction of my authentic period costume as worn recently during filming of BBC TV's "Poldark", as part of the October Challenge fundraising event for the South West Coast Path Association.

I have always walked for pleasure and, being lucky enough to live on the
South West Coast Path, I am also a volunteer rep for the section
between Mevagissey and Par in Cornwall, for the SWCPA. I also work as a model and supporting artist, hence the idea for a costume walk.

My costume will include period corset and shift, several layers of underskirts, dress and basket (for collecting on the day). I will be wearing walking boots for safety and accompanied by my area rep who will kindly carry water and a few other necessaries.
