Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Hi Lovely People,

As you may or may not know, i have signed up for my very first Triathlon!
It is held 11th September in Brighton.
http://www.brightonandhovetriathlon.com

I might be crazy...

...But i'm very excited and committed to my training for it.

I'm undecided on whether to do the Olympic or Sprint Distance. The swim scares me a bit. I will decide closer to the time.
Olympic: 1500m Swim / 40k Bike / 10k Run
Sprint: 750m Swim / 20k Bike / 5k Run

The Swim...
I've never done open water swimming before (gulp) so I hope not to get kicked in the face by someone doing breaststroke ahead of me. I have accepted the fact that the water will be very very cold. (Shout out to the wonderful Eve Coles for donating the wetsuit!)

The Peddling...
I feel quite comfortable in the cycling arena. I just hope i don't fall off like i did in Cuba. I am exited to wear my lycra

The Run...
I plan to sprint the whole way and then collapse at the finish line.

But in all seriousness...
Tomorrow, August 1st 2016 marks two years since the passing of my sweet & loving Dad.
The battle against Cancer is of course very close to home for me as it is for lots of my family and close friends - which is why I have chosen Cancer Research as my charity.

It would be great if you feel like donating something financially to fight this bastard of a disease. If you are unable to support financially, words of encouragement are also greatly appreciated!

Lots of love as always,

Lucy x x
