Story
Hello,
I am running the London Marathon on 22nd April and raising money for the wonderful CLIC Sargent who are the UK's leading cancer charity for children, young people and their families.
I have chosen to run in the CLIC Sargent team as in 2011 when my cousin's son Joseph was diagnosed with Leukaemia at just 6 months old, CLIC Sargent were there to offer incredible care and support to both him and my family.
CLIC Sargent care teams fight tirelessly to limit the damage cancer causes. They will listen, and ask the right questions, so that they can provide the right support, tailored to each young person and family.
This might mean arranging a CLIC Sargent grant or helping young people and families get the benefits they are entitled to. Coordinating care so that some medical procedures can happen at home, or arranging free accommodation in a CLIC Sargent Home from Home. Or helping young cancer patients and families keep in touch with school, college or work to keep life as normal as possible.
Joseph beat cancer - he is amazing!!
Please help me raise money for this amazing charity so that they can continue their incredible work.
Thank you very much x
