Everest Base Camp Trek · 3 September 2018

We work to end the exploitation of wild animals and create a future where people and wildlife live in harmony. Across the world, we protect, rescue and care for wild animals in need, while helping communities coexist peacefully with wildlife. Help us take action — and keep wildlife in the wild.

Story

Thank you for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page!

What am I doing?

I'm trekking to Everest Base Camp!! (omg). The trip is 18 days, walking for up to 8 hours a day to the final altitude of 17,600 ft (5,380 m). It will be like nothing I have ever done before!

Who am I doing it for?

I have chosen to raise money for a wildlife charity called The Born Free Foundation, who believe in 'Keeping Wildlife in the Wild'. They aim to conserve and protect wild animals, natural habitats and ecosystems, something that I feel passionately about.

Why? ('are you mad?' I hear my mother say)

I have chosen to do this challenge because I am becoming increasingly aware of the dangers facing our environment and its wildlife and feel it is the responsibility of my generation to do something about it.

Please give what you can, so that Born Free can continue to do their excellent work. (Click on the link below if you would like more information on the charity).
