Prosecco, pimms and cake afternoon · 13 July 2019

Many rare genetic conditions are life-limiting, all are life-changing. The Sandcastle Trust walks alongside families living with a rare genetic condition to help them create lasting positive family memories and improve their emotional wellbeing and resilience.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Most of you know that I like to do a fundraiser every now and again, usually involving a run or cake!

This time I will be raising funds for The sandcastle trust. This small charity support people with rare genetic conditions and was set up by David and Danielle Singleton after David was diagnosed at 28 years old. The former rugby playing policeman is now in a wheelchair and is a proud Dad of twins. He recently took part in a rowing race.

The charity support people by granting special days out and short breaks for families giving them precious memories. They also provide practical support and advice and bereavement support.

This year I will be holding a prosecco, pimms and cake afternoon in July along with a raffle. I'll also be taking part in several races over September and October starting with Bristol half marathon on 15th September, Windsor half marathon on 29th September, Royal Parks half marathon on 13th October and finishing up with Dublin marathon on 27th October!

I am very lucky to have such supportive friends and family as I'm sure this wont be the last fundraiser!

Thanks all Xx
