After attending a wonderful brunch a couple of months ago, fully loading up on bagels and having a little bit of a tearful moment I decided that Jewish Blind & Disabled was a fantastic cause and I absolutely had to get involved. I was totally dazzled by the incredible building and facilities in Bushey, the little touches put into each residents apartment was something very special to me.

Of course there was a personal moment when the tears started to flow, a dear Uncle of mine, who was that incredible character growing up, always rocking up to family dinners in his safari suit and smothering us all with kisses passed away a couple of years ago. (If you know who I'm talking about, then you'll have a shining smile on your face for this man). He had severe diabetes for what seemed like always and really could have been saved by living in a place like JBD's residential apartments.
