Dear all, 

Thank you for taking the time to visit our Just Giving page for St Francis Hospice. Me and my best friend Izzy plan to run the London marathon in April 2019, and have chosen to run for St Francis hospice, Izzy received a ballot place in the marathon and has joined me in choosing this charity as it is a place I (Lucy) hold very close to my heart. This hospice goes above and beyond to care for people and their families, when they are at their most vulnerable and need it the most. 

Just over 6 years ago I lost my Auntie Debbie (BeBe) to cancer and this time was devastating for me and my family. My aunt was staying in St Francis hospice and they provided the best possible care for my aunt and kept that bright smile of hers on her face. St Francis not only cared for my Aunt but also my family before and after she passed and never stopped to make us feel welcome and supported. 

Losing my aunt had a massive impact on me and my family, and is one of the hardest things we have had to go through. But, we take comfort in the care my aunt received at St Francis. Care and compassion goes a long way for families struggling to see a loved one suffering, and thats exactly what St Francis provided, which is why we have chosen to fundraise for them, so they can continue to help more families like ours. 

My aunt will forever hold a special place in my heart, along with all the special memories, and will be missed always. We know she will be with us every step of the way, carrying us along, and hopefully we are going to make her proud <3 xx
