Contact the Elderly might not be the first charity that crosses your mind when you think about who best deserves your donation and it's for that reason that I have chosen to raise awareness and funds for them with this mountain climb.

It's always impossibly hard to decide who to help when there are so many needy causes out there but Contact the Elderly is a wonderful UK charity providing invaluable support to those aged 75 and over who live alone.  It is the only national charity solely dedicated to tackling loneliness and social isolation amongst older people.

Nobody likes to think about friends or family or themselves getting older and being alone and by supporting a smaller charity like Contact the Elderly you see your money go that much further and make a real difference to the lives of older people.
