Story

What am I actually doing?

On the 7th of November 2020, myself and my brother will be hosting our own personal 24 hour gaming marathon to help raise money for our chosen charities.

We are going to be playing Farming Simulator 2019 for 24 hours straight. We will be doing this via private server and playing on our Playstation 4's. Every hour I will post an update on this JustGiving page on the progress of our current farm.

Who am I doing this for?

The Kit Wilson Trust is and has been a home for many abandoned, unwanted, ill treated and neglected animals. They promote the welfare of these animals and provide high standards of care, including necessary veterinary treatment.

The majority of the animals which are rescued and taken  into the Trust’s animal rescue centre are dogs and cats. From here, many are found homes to begin their new journey. But it is not just dogs and cats they find homes for. The animal centre also cares for and re-homes a wider variety of animals in need of a new home, these include Rabbits, Guinea pigs, Rats, Ferrets and Degus.

Over the years, the Rescue Centre has also become a permanent home to many of these animals. This is due to either not being possible or desirable to re-home them. Some of these animals include horses, donkeys, cats, goats, and birds.

In addition to the animal rescue and re-homing work, the Trust has become increasingly involved in wildlife rehabilitation and operates a wildlife emergency helpline.

With everything happening in the world currently, it has limited what The Kit Wilson Trust can actually do to raise funds to help their cause. They have also sadly had to cancel their biggest fundraiser, which they do every year, being their sponsored dog walk.

The money donated will not just go towards the animals care, but also towards the running of the animal rescue centre including all the dedicated, hard working staff that provide that care.

Thanks for taking the time to visit.
