We're dedicated to beating blood cancer. We fund research and support those affected. Since 1960, we've invested over £500 million in blood cancer research, transforming treatments and saving lives. The day we beat blood cancer is now in sight and our researchers are determined to finish the job.

Story

Hello,

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

In February 2012 I was diagnosed with Acute Lyphoblastic Leukaemia. I was told that in order to be completely cured I would need a stem cell transplant. I completed 3 cycles of chemotherapy and in July 2012, after another horrible session of chemotherapy and full body radiotherapy, my twin sister Checca donated her stems cells., which grafted successfully 9 days later. I gradually became stronger and stronger and then 1 year on in July 2013 I was told I was still in full and deep remission.

I am doing this triathlon as another challenge, having previously raised money for LLR and the hospital I was treated in ; I did this by cycling with friends from London to Varese in Italy, where I was treated some 1200km's away. I hope I can continue to raise as much money for LLR as possible.

Please give as much as you can for this great cause.
