Story
We are ‘Tri-Hard 2’ and just like the legendary John McClane, we’re just a couple of ordinary average guys who now find ourselves in a scenario where we have no choice but to ‘Tri-harder’. One of us is a surgeon, the other a fundraiser. One of us saves lives and the other raises money to saves lives. Both of us are stepping out of our comfort zone because that’s what’s needed to help stop the UK’s 2nd biggest cancer killer – BOWEL CANCER.
Thousands of people are losing their lives or losing someone they love to a disease that is preventable and, if caught early, is treatable and curable. To play a small part in helping to change this, we’re going to overcome seemingly impossible odds. We’re going to follow a route with incredible twists and turns. And we’re going to do our very best to complete our mission – which is to swim 1500m, then cycle 40km and then run 10km.
Every penny and pound we raise by taking part in the Royal Windsor Triathlon 2019 on June 16 2019 will help fund the vital research and lifesaving work of Bowel Cancer UK, the UK’s leading bowel cancer charity. This is so important because one person is diagnosed with bowel cancer every 15 minutes in the UK and 44 people die every day and Bowel Cancer UK is doing everything they can to change this. Your support will make a huge difference to a huge issue affecting millions of people right now.
Please give what you can and thank you for supporting our endeavour. Yippie-ki-yay…
