Hey everyone,

As many of you may or may not know, it has been nearly 6 years since I was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukaemia (AML), which can be fatal within 4-6 weeks. (see more at https://www.macmillan.org.uk/…/cancer-types/acute-myeloid-l…).

My Dad started this page, as well as ‘Lulu’s Story’ to keep everyone up to date with my treatment and it was amazing to see all of the support I received through his actions.

6 months after treatment commenced I was fortunate enough to be in “remission”. So in gratitude, my Mum and Dad organised a bike ride, to raise money for the charity “Bloodwise”, (see here https://bloodwise.org.uk/ ), and the Bristol Royal Hospital for Children, where I received my treatment from an amazing team of staff. With Dad's sheer strength and determination, along with the help from friends, family the Downs School and his work, Computershare, we raised in total roughly £60,000.

Our Dad started this legacy and so my sisters and I have decided to start with the Bristol Half Marathon in September in order to continue what he started.

Our Dad sadly passed away in the December of 2015 and we really want to make him proud. He, (along with my amazing sisters Melanie Price, Angie Price and Mum Jessica Price) were my rocks, supporting me the whole way through my battle with Cancer, picking me up when the chemotherapy was too much and helping me to stay positive.

Our aim is to raise £3,000, as it is vital to keep funding the research, with the hope that one day there will be a cure for all blood cancers.
