Lunch with an Old Bag · 18 October 2016

The King’s Trust supports 11 to 30 year-olds who are unemployed or struggling at school to get their lives on track. Many of the young people we support are in or leaving care, have been in trouble with the law, or they are facing challenges such as homelessness or mental health issues.

Story

Thank you so much for taking the time to visit the LWOB JustGiving page.

If you're familiar with Lunch with an Old Bag, you'll know that we raise funds for The Prince's Trust Scotland, through a gorgeous and glamorous lunch held in September each year, at Prestonfield House in Edinburgh.

LWOB is a fabulous lunch. It features sensational handbags, and some of them are even vintage. But at its heart, LWOB is all about the glamour, style and big-hearted generosity of women with the wit, humour, spirit and swagger to call themselves Old Bags.

Over the past 8 years, the term "Old Bag" has become something to be very proud of! Not only have the Old Bags raised almost £3 million - that's 3,000 young people helped back into education or training, into jobs, or to start their own businesses - but they've challenged the labelling of young people, something which remains as valid now as when the first LWOB was launched back in 2009.

In the last 4 years alone, LWOB has raised over £2million, which is an incredible achievement, and has made a significant contribution to the work carried out by The Prince's Trust over those years.

If you'd like to make a donation to help young people in Scotland to believe in themselves, develop their skills and talents, and fulfil their potential, that would be fabulous! Everything raised through your donations, and at LWOB, will go to support The Prince's Trust, and will help transform young Scottish lives.

Thank you so much for your support!
