Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

In March 2013 at the age of 5 Eilidh was diagnosed with what has now be called a unclassified low grade glioma ( probably grade II). She had a biopsy one round of unsuccessful chemotherapy followed by neurosurgery in February 2014. We had high hopes as only a tiny bit of tumour remained, but unfortunately the tumour began to grow again. She then followed a course of very aggressive chemotherapy which made her very unwell with lots of nasty side effects but the tumour  continued to grow. Her Bordeaux team alongside Doctors from the Gustave Roussy in Paris decided on  further surgery in Bordeaux followed by 30 sessions of Proton Beam radiotherapy in Paris.  Many friends have asked how they can help and have fund raised on her behalf. We have opened this page, to show all her friends how much they have raised to help other families not go through this my funding valuable research into why children develop tumours and from that help find a cure.
