Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
I told myself I wouldn't do another marathon anytime soon unless the charity was right. In fact, I was really looking forward to NOT having to run 42 km in one go next year...
Then, just recently, my family had the C-bomb catapult into our world and it's a horrible, horrible disease. It's very difficult to watch a loved one endure it, especially knowing there is nothing you can do to make it better. I'm not a nurse and I certainly can't cure cancer, but I can try my best to raise some money to contribute to those that can.
I might have done one before, but it's really bloody hard and training over the bitter British winter is a bleak prospect; however, enduring that is nothing compared to living with Cancer. If I know that with each mile I run I can contribute to MacMillan making that more bearable, then I'd run a thousand marathons in a heartbeat (not that I'm that fast, obviously).
I'll be running the Brighton Marathon on 15th April 2018 and so am asking you to please donate to MacMillan Cancer Support to make this challenge worth it.
