Hospiscare provides free and specialised nursing to the terminally ill in Exeter, Mid and East Devon. It looks after more than 700 patients at any one time, supporting patients in their own homes and in its hospice. It relies on the generosity of the community to provide this vital service.

Story

Our very good friend Alan is a  well respected, much loved and active member of the Lympstone Community and Lympstone Sailing Club.  He has sadly unexpectedly been diagnosed with a terminal illness.  Alan and his family are being supported at home by Hospiscare.

We have all been touched by his illness and it has highlighted to us the importance of a service that is available at a time of need to care for someone in their own home, surrounded by their family and friends.

The Men of Lympstone (and surrounding areas!) have taken the challenge of picking up their walking boots (whilst their boats are out of the water) to raise money for this worthwhile charity and the amazing people who work for it.

If you live in Exeter, Mid or East Devon, Hospiscare is your local adult hospice charity. Should you or a loved one need care for any type of terminal illness, our professional team of doctors and nurses are here to help. Our services are provided irrespective of race, religion, age, gender, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, mental or physical disability, diagnosis or place of national origin.
