I am raising money for the new Dementia and Delirium Teams we are setting up. The teams work with patients who are admitted to our big teaching hospitals in East London, we aim to  reduce their distress and make their stay in hospital a more positive experience. 

This fund is being set up so we can buy bits and bobs for our patients, this could be getting them some of their favourite music on a cheap mp3 to sweets, newspapers, massage lotion and anything else they want to help their stay in hospital better. Also, giving them something to do that they want to do to help their boredom and help them have a sense of normality in an environment that can add ten fold to their disorientation.

I really appreciate that you are supporting people with dementia and as you know, if you are visiting this page, I feel very passionate about making the lives of people with dementia filled with happiness, purpose and laughter.
