Story
I had a mastectomy in Nov 1990, and have been ok since then. I shall be doing the swimming part, 64 lengths (1 mile). Our daughter, Jane who is 46 and lives in Galway and is doing the half marathon part, had a precancerous lump diagnosed end of 2011. She had treatment and so far everything is ok with the outcome. My older sister died of breast cancer in1982 in Australia. My husband Mike, who is doing the cycling, 30km, has supported the family throughout our medical problems, and he wishes to help fundraising by doing the cycling part. We will be doing this event at Virgin Active gym, Broadfield Road, Sheffield 8, on Thursday 1st August. Please help those who have been unlucky to have been diagnosed with cancer, by donating to my JustGiving page. Thank you.
