I decided to raise funds for the wonderful school that is Moor House School and College as my son Harris is in KS2 at Moor House. Moor House is a registered charity providing life changing education and therapy to students aged 7-19 with language disorders, including Developmental Language Disorder (DLD), helping them to achieve extraordinary outcomes. Through the work of our Research and Training Institute we are also at the forefront of global research and training in the field of speech and language disabilities.

While Harris has only been at the school a year Moor House have already given Harris so much and I wanted to do something to give back. I had been looking for a personal challenge for a little while and when I found the September 2022 South Coast Challenge it sounded perfect. Walking 100km overnight … what could possibly go wrong! Alongside the obvious physical challenge the event would give me the emotional challenge I was looking for. Harris has developmental language disorder and developmental coordination disorder so finds speech and language and day to day tasks difficult. If Harris can turn up each day and work through his challenges with a smile and a cheery attitude then here’s hoping I can do the same.  Wish me luck ❤️
