Story
25th-27th September 2020 would have been the CCAA family residential weekend bringing much needed information, support and friendship to families dealing with a child or children with arthritis. It is a rollercoaster of emotions when you have a child diagnosed with Juvenile Idiopathic Arthritis (JIA) as I know from personal experience – my daughter was diagnosed with the condition at age 3 and she is now 8. Making links with other families going through similar experiences, has helped us as a family to understand the condition, to manage the condition and to find support and friendship. CCAA now also have local area support groups across England and Wales in order to help families connect.
CCAA had to cancel the residential weekend this year due to Covid and instead has looked to different ways to raise awareness that children
get arthritis too and to raise money for some more projects they want to start, to ensure families at home do not feel isolated with the condition.
It is very easy to help them!
- PLAY! Guess how many packets of sweets in the jar (message me your guess or include it in the donation message). All sweets
are wrapped so have not been handled. - DONATE! Please make a donation to CCAA – any amount will help.
- WIN! Wait to see if your guess is the nearest to the actual number of sweets and win the jar of sweets (I will contact you to send you the prize!) If any of our friends who are not local would like to take part, I will send you the sweets, minus the jar!
Thank you so much for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page and thank you for your support for children with arthritis.
