Our Dear Dad, John Gent suffered a massive stroke following hip surgery in Dec ‘17,  He was transferred to Pasteur Ward ( Stroke Unit ) The care he received on this ward was second to none, the Doctors, Nurses and Physiotherapists battled for 10 days to save his life, unfortunately despite all their efforts our Dad passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loving family on 22nd Dec 2017 aged 81yrs..... during his time on this ward our Dad would or could have benefitted from the use of a specialised wheelchair ( Breezy Relax2) yet none were available as there are only 2 on the whole ward? As a family we would love to purchase another 2 of these chairs which are very beneficial in the early stages of rehabilitation following a Stroke? 

We will be eternally grateful to All the staff on this busiest of Wards for the Care, support and medical expertise shown to Our Dad and feel that we, as his family would like to give something back in name and memory of John Gent  12/05/36–22/12/17
