A few of us at MAPP have taken on an amazing challenge, running the Forest of Dean Half Marathon in support of Jessie May, a charity that provides specialist nursing care for terminally ill children in their own homes.

Every pound raised will go towards vital respite care and emotional support for families. Parents trust Jessie May Nurses to take on the care of their child so that they can do the things we all take for granted, like the weekly shop, helping a sibling, or even just catching up on a few hours’ sleep. This vital service is completely free of charge and Jessie May is currently supporting over 137 families, making the most of the precious time families have together and creating precious memories.

We as a team from the MAPP Bristol office helped with the Jessie May Christmas party for all the children they support and their families in 2018 by designing and making the Santa Grotto fireplace and sign posts. Following this day with the Jessie May team, we were all so inspired by the hard work they do and the amount of emotional and physical support they give in what is a very difficult time for the children and parents, we decided to volunteer again by Christmas gift wrapping in a shopping centre with some of our site staff.

We are as a team trying to raise £1,000.00 throughout 2019 to help fund this wonderful charity so please help us meet this target by sponsoring us today!
