I really appreciate any donations that anyone can make towards this charity and as we all know charities and fundraising have really suffered over the last couple of years during the Covid Pandemic.

A wee bit about the charity ..............

Created in 1965 by parents; for parents and their children, over 50 years later Spina Bifida Hydrocephalus Scotland (SBH Scotland) now a national, award winning charity with individuals remaining at the heart of everything we do.

SBH Scotland’s Direct Services Support Team work across Scotland, offering support to 4,000 individuals.

We help and offer advice to someone from the moment they receive a diagnosis during pregnancy, throughout that child/teenagers life and to adulthood. We can give as much or as little help as the person wants. It can be a very daunting diagnosis so we also support the families and siblings. As a disabled child become a disabled family, they must adapt all their needs (car, home, holidays etc.) We also have a holiday home on the beach in Carnoustie that is completely adapted for severely disabled people. This home is available to anyone but it is given to SBH Scotland members on a heavily discounted basis. We want to ensure that every family has a chance of a holiday.

We also offer health and wellness checks for adult members, parent and baby groups throughout Scotland and quarterly outings for children and adults along with Christmas, Halloween and Easter Parties.

All of our services are completely free to our members.
