As an organisation we have a vision that guides our charitable contributions but we wanted to work with an organisation that helped us realise this vision and make a positive contribution locally.

As a population of people we had all heard the news covering the impact of the financial crisis and the benefits reform, but we were moved to learn first-hand from the charity about the thousands of people across the UK who turn to food banks because they simply don’t have enough money to make ends meet – and a significant number are hard-working families whose wages don’t last for the whole month.

We believe the charity when they say “Hunger touches every community,” and we have spoken to foodbank clients in our own communities who tell us their story and their reasons for seeking support from a foodbanks. It was this that provided the inspiration for our support.

We believe that by helping the Trussell Trust Foodbanks through mobilizing our workforce, donating our products and raising awareness we can make a lasting difference and help contribute to food provision and food education for those who live, work and learn in our local communities.
