Story

Comprehensive Curriculum

The need for a comprehensive Islamic Studies curriculum has been felt ever since we commenced the Road to Scholarship programme for 11–16-year-olds in 2014. Over the last eight years, our team of experts have been working on the framework of several textbooks in the key Islamic sciences with a view to teach the content of traditional primers but in a modern, textbook format.

The first book in the series, Shama’il of the Prophet Muhammad – A Study-book on the Prophetic Character, was published in 2020 and has been widely acclaimed as a ground-breaking textbook
which is now used in many educational settings around the globe.

3-Year Plan

To publish a full curriculum o f eight textbooks providing the young student with the foundational knowledge in the essential Islamic Sciences. This religious knowledge will allow them to live their lives as committed Muslims and teach others. It will also enable those that have the desire, to pursue intermediate and advanced studies in the various Shari’ah disciplines.

The Team

Developed and written by a team of traditional Islamic scholars and experienced schoolteachers, the curriculum will bring together, in an engaging and accessible manner, the vast treasures of the Islamic scholarly tradition – bridging the gap created by language and the ages for the modern student.

Funds Required

To write, edit, design, and publish the curriculum, we require a fund of £100,000. This will provide our future generations with the requisite knowledge to navigate the modern world which poses many challenges to people of faith.
