We have started something we now can’t stop….

 

After discussing “Movember” and the fact that it’s been done too many times and is becoming old hat,  I flippantly mentioned that we should do “ Decembeard” and not shave until Christmas morning.

 

A few ideas for rules and different charities have been batted around and in the end we decided to do it for CLAN, a well deserving charity supporting cancer victims and their families. I’m sure every single one of us knows or has known someone who been affected by cancer, so merely spending a month looking like a one of the Muppet’s and our faces as itchy as wearing a mohair jersey next to naked skin in Dubai…., is the least we can do.

 

The rules are fairly basic:

 

·         Those taking part must stop shaving before or on the 24 of November until 12pm on the 24 of December

·         Only a small amount of grooming is allowed, no Craig David style trimming with the wife’s  bikini razor

·         The fur must join (or attempt to join) your side burns and must meet at your chin (this allows for an Amish style, Abe Lincoln beast)

 

Other than that we are setting up a just giving page so the money from sponsorship will go directly to CLAN.  We plan to present a prize for the one who looks the most like Santa Claus on the last few days of the sponsorship period and capture a final photo of them for prosperity.

 

We would like as much people as possible to take part from the office and workshop here in Westhill, so if you want to take part just give Richard Murray or myself a shout or e-mail and we will add your name to the list of Hero’s that ye never hear o’. We will organise a group photo before and after and we will also add photos of any particularly bizarre growth attempts, e.g the shape of an animal or film star appears on your face, or…. you actually start to resemble some sort of animal.

 

The company night out will be a sight to behold I’d imagine…
