Story
So I thought after seeing Mum do so amazingly well at the Bath Half that id take the plunge and do the one thing that I told everyone I would never be stupid enough to do. And I've got 15 weeks to train for it. Yeah, this is such a silly idea.
I'm going to be raising money for the charity Mind, which is a mental health charity that raise awareness and also offer support through counselling/befriending/general support to those with a range of mental health challenges. As a Psychology student this is obviously an area that I think is very important, but its also a charity that I think are amazing for more personal reasons having known many people who they have helped/are helping and have helped me in the past. As running is the way I sort out my head and de-stress most of the time I thought it was a nice way to combine the two and hopefully help others in the future with the money I raise.
This is by far the scariest thing I've done in my life, and the biggest challenge ever, but I'm hoping that maybe with a little push from Mum and her hand to hold, as well as some encouraging motivational talks from Al Grieve I can make it round just about.
So lets cross our fingers and hope I don't break any more bones in my body and do this thing.
Thank you all so much for your support, I have a feeling I'm gonna need all the luck in the world.
