Thanks for visiting my JustGiving page.  Cancer Research has become an important personal cause for me in the past year.  My mum was diagnosed with cancer before Christmas.  It was a very hard time for my family - but my amazing mum was incredibly brave throughout and is now recovering well.  This event changed my life and my entire outlook on the future.  2013 has been a tough year so far - but I want to turn that around.  I want to help raise money to find a cure for cancer, promote further research and help other families who are going through a tough time with this evil disease.

So I will be running in 6 races up to Christmas (and maybe more yet!) to raise my £700 target for Cancer Research:

2 - Bupa Great North Run - September - DONE!

3 - Bupa Great Yorkshire Run - September - DONE!

4 - Nottingham Mens Health "Survival Of The Fittest" - October - DONE!

5 - The Suffolk Whole Hog - October (with Shaun and Adam) DONE!!

6 - Zombie Survival Run, Yorkshire - October

For anyone who knows me, my training background has always firmly been based in martial arts and combatives. I've never been into running before, so these events are a big personal challenge for me!  But I promise I'll finish them!

I'm lucky to have such a supportive training team around me- and I'm enjoying training with my mates - big thanks to Joe, Ryan, Baile, Paul and big Al for helping me train and constantly pushing me forward.  And everyone at Ronin SPS - love you guys! Also thank you to Mikey and the Iron Athlete crew for putting some muscle back on me! And finally massive thanks to my team-mates on Team Steel - Shaun and Adam.

Cancer research are doing amazing work to help find a cure, support individuals and families and work toward the ultimate goal of eliminating cancer.
