Thanks to all the staff who helped to make it a brilliant morning and to the amazing achievements and guts of those of you with physical challenges who have performed at a level far greater than anyone ever imagined you would, just brilliant!

MNC is celebrating its 10th Year in Practice!

The last 10 years have seen our centre grow and our reputation spread worldwide.

The patients who attend our clinic include people who live locally but also people who come from around the UK as far as Aberdeen, Northern and Southern Ireland, Wales and the south of England. We also have patients who come from  Europe and further afield.

We are a team of 8 neurological physiotherapists who have many years experience both in the NHS and the private sector. Almost all of our physiotherapy staff have held clinical specialist jobs in the NHS and between us we have well over 100 years experience in the NHS.

We pride ourselves in offering specialist input which gets the best out of our patients. We are skilled at identifying potential for recovery and giving people positive and realistic goals for their future. All of our patients have programmes to work on either by themselves or with their family and carers. This helps to reinforce more efficient movements so that day to day living is more enjoyable.

We treat people with any type of neurological condition or injury which has affected them physically and affected how they can function on a day to day basis.

We treat people both young and old, those who are severely disabled and those who only have mild problems. We see people who have progressive disorders including MS and Parkinson's disease.

They all comment on the friendly positive atmosphere at the clinic and often give each other moral support.

To celebrate our anniversary we are holding a sponsored challenge to raise money for our chosen charities. Patients are invited to join us for a 1, 2, 3, 4, or 5 km challenge, whether they are in chairs, or need help walking. This will take place on 3rd August at 9am at Heaton Park in Manchester. Many of our patients have suffered a stroke or spinal injury and they are keen to get involved not only to raise money but also to show everybody how well they have done. As we have patients who are at different ability levels they can choose to do beaten 1 and 5 km in the challenge and use their wheelchairs, buggies or have assistance to walk.
