At Alzheimer’s Society we’re working towards a world where dementia no longer devastates lives. We do this by giving help to those living with dementia today, and providing hope for the future by campaigning to make dementia the priority it should be and funding groundbreaking research.

Story

Two  years ago my darling hubby of 34 years was diagnosed with Alzheimer's at the age of 53, as you can imagine we were devistated, shocked & asked why us?  But after a week or so we decided to pull something very positive from this,  we have done appearances on TV and radio to get our message across that Alzheimers can effect young people,  people who are trying to hold on to a full-time job and pay bills and a mortgage etc & have a lot of life left to live, so on Sunday September 18th we are going to take part in the BATH Alzheimer's Society Memory Walk with our 7 month old cockapoo puppy called Molly,  We are also walking the The BRISTOL Memory Walk on Sunday 9th October. The money we will raise for both walks will help towards support & continued research into this horrible disease,  I cannot tell you how much my Paul has changed, this condition slowly robs you of your loved ones, Paul & I are extremely lucky to have a fabulous network of family and close friends,  The Alzheimer's Society supply us with a support worker who helps us both on a monthly basis.  We are not asking for large amounts of cash,  just a fiver will do!!!  We thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
If your local COME JOIN US WALK!!!
