Our beautiful sister Maddy was treated for breast cancer at Guy's and St Thomas' Hospital until just before she died. She recognised that the excellent treatment she was receiving only came about because of the thousands before who had participated in research. 

She, therefore, happily took part in research trials, donating tissue and blood even when it meant extra tests and biopsies. She believed that she would live on in data sets, in order to give people that she would never meet new options and new futures.

Maddy requested that we support Guy's Cancer Centre Appeal after her death.

Guy's Cancer Centre opening in Autumn 2016 will provide services from research, diagnosis and treatment - all under one roof. They want every patient to take part in clinical trials to speed up the search for better treatments and, ultimately, to cure cancer.
