The Woolf Institute was borne of a simple and hopeful premise: that through robust scholarly study of encounter between Jews Christians &Muslims we can better understand and guide our society at present, and thus inform and shape a more tolerant, respectful, collective future together

Story

I started running again in April 2017 after a five year gap. I am just trying to get my fitness back at the moment. I've run a couple of 5Ks recently, so 10K will be the longest distance I've ever done. This is a pretty big challenge for me!

As some of you know, I studied Jewish-Christian Relations at Cambridge and it was the Woolf Institute who designed the Masters Degree. They're raising money for their new building - a £9m project, of which they already have £8m - so I'm just trying to do my part to help a wee bit to get their funds together.

The Woolf Institute do research, education, and cultural outreach to support understanding between Jews, Christians, and Muslims. I'm sure you'll agree that the need for understanding between various cultures and religious groups is so important. However, it's not just about Islamic terrorism and anti-semitic violence; we now face the threat of terrorism by 'lone wolf' attackers such as the recent mosque attack in London.

So please sponsor me to take on this 10K and support improving understanding between the different cultures in our society :)
