Story
My daughter, Rachel Birlison, lived for thirty-fve years with Williams Syndrome, and worked hard to maintain a positive attitude despite the difficulties that the condition causes. She loved to travel, she loved cats, and did her best to live her life to the full. The WS Foundation have been a great support to us, and one of the things I have learned from them is that, if you have one problem such as WS you are not immune to other difficulties. Rachel had night time epilepsy, nothing to do with her Williams Syndrome. She died from her epilepsy, but she lived with Williams Syndrome. I would therefore like to help other with Williams Syndrome to make the best of their lives.
So I plan to take my Grade 8 piano exam 44 years after I took Grade 7. Wow, things have changed since then! The idea to play 100 pianos between September 2012 and March 2013 seems perfectly logical to me. I've already started, and people have been unfailingly kind. The overall plan is to play 365 pianos and then write a book, but my family have wisely cautioned me to start with something more modest. So here it is, my just giving page for the first 100 pianos.
