She sadly passed away in November 2011 finally defeated by the brain cancer that had afflicted her for 17 months following diagnosis. Thankfully she continued to live life to the full during this period, spending beautiful times with her family and friends...shopping, eating-out and drinking more than the odd glass of wine as she enjoyed the companionship of her loved ones. Precious memories for us all especially her children, sister, close friends and family, and thankfully her grandson, Luca. </span></p>

<p class="MsoPlainText" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt;"><span style="font-family: &amp;quot;Arial&amp;quot;,&amp;quot;sans-serif&amp;quot;; color: #0000ff; font-size: 12pt;">Her diagnosis with Glioblastoma Multiforme in 2010 was an unexpected blow that turned her world upside down. Determined as ever, Maggie focused on fighting this devastating disease and helping others in a similar situation. This determination has been instrumental in the founding of the Maggie Harvey Trust, which has been created to provide much needed funding for research into this form of brain tumour. Maggie wanted you to be part of her vision and to help towards researching causes, treatments and ultimately a cure. </span></p>

However, one of the things that has been most difficult for all of us has been the lack of information about the way Glioblastomas behave. This lack of information, and my desire to try to improve the journey and outcome for others, has been the motivating force in setting up the Maggie Harvey Trust, which will fund research to find a cure for this form of cancer.” Maggie Harvey</span></p>
