Leif suffered kidney failure and whilst awaiting a kidney transplant he had to have dialysis to keep him alive. Because of the incredible resources at the Buckfield Home Therapies dialysis unit he was able to have dialysis at home which made life so much more bearable for him.. He was supported by an amazing and expert team of nurses and technicians and because of this he was kept alive. It was the little things that made the difference, the comfy leather reclining armchair & the soft snuggly blanket, not undermining the huge love and support he was shown by the ever smiley and buoyant nurses who were always there to help whenever need be. We have so much respect for this unit at the Royal Sussex County hospital(Brighton Sussex University hospital) and so we would like to give something back to them so that they can help others in the way that they helped Leif. I am hugely grateful for your help as I know Leif would be.
