The Link Foundation is a children’s charity founded in 2006 that provides essentials such as beds, cots, fridges, cookers, washing machines and baby equipment to disadvantaged families in the local community. Based in Marlow and supporting families throughout Berkshire and Buckinghamshire.

Maidenhead United Women, managed by Nevin Saroya, have partnered with The Link Foundation for 2021/22. The squad will raise valuable funds for families in their local area.

The Link Foundation spend up to £20,000 a year on mattresses, cots and beds for children who are sharing with a sibling or parent, sleeping on the floor. A bed of their own is vital for a child to thrive, mentally, physically and emotionally. Many of the families that the Link Foundation help struggle at the best of times with poverty, domestic violence and mental health issues, the pandemic has made their lives infinitely more difficult.

The players at Maidenhead United Women are therefore extremely proud to be supporting the foundation with this particular initiative. They will be taking part in events and challenges, big and small, to make sure these families get the help they need.
