Maisie Mary Tripp born 22/10/20.

Maisie was diagnosed with suspected coarctation of aorta at 24 week scan. This was shocking but we hoped one operation would fix the problem and she’d live a happy life not effected by it too much.

Unfortunately after birth and her being taken to the NICU to be checked and scanned we discovered her poor little heart had many more problems. Her first few days of life were incredibly difficult as she developed  pneumothorax on her lungs and had to be ventilated. She seemed to stabilise after this and things began to look more positive and she was considered for an operation in Dublin to help her grow in preparation for other operations to help her heart. Each day was a roller coaster ride and had ups and downs but she was such a little fighter.

She then developed pulmonary hypertension every time they removed some medicine she was on and it was this that made things so difficult for her. Several medications were tried but sadly none of them worked for Maisie.

The foundation provided a memory box for us to keep with some treasured keepsakes that we wouldn’t have had the strength to think about ourselves. We’re forever grateful for the thoughtful items that will always help us to celebrate Maisie’s time on earth.

No parent should have to go through losing a baby or child but we are forever grateful for the love that was shown to Maisie during her life.
