Story
It's more than a year since we lost Maisie and as a family we've raised over £50k so far for the Lily Foundation by running, baking, netballing (eww) and with the help of all of our amazing friends and family in Maisie's memory.
The last 14 months have been impossible. Grief is such a brutal, complicated thing to navigate and some days it still suffocates me. The most excruciating part is watching the people you love in pain and wondering if the pain ever really ends.
I feel so privileged to be Maisie's auntie and have all this love that I can't give to her that I need to channel into something. Hope is the only thing that helps so we continue to put our hope in the Lily Foundation. They are funding valuable research to find a cure for the disease that took Maisie from us.
I don't know how else to raise money, so until I figure out another way I am running another marathon - in my favourite city in the world.
Please sponsor me, I can't promise this isn't the last time I will ask but I can absolutely promise it is going to an incredible charity and will mean the world to me and my family.
