Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

When Maisie was 3 months we were told our little girl had heart failure, that she needed medication immediately and she would require an operation.

From that moment our journey as parents changed dramatically. From the endless questions, to sleepless nights, to the enviable questioning of ourselves why didn't we 'see the signs!' ..Signs that actually weren't there to be seen but that didn't stop us needing an answer to this crazy whirlwind we found ourselves in.

Roll forward 9 months and our little Maisie is a happy, cheeky, healthy nearly 1 year old that keeps amazing us day in day out with her determination to not let anything get in her way. The past is just part of her story now.

We can look ahead to the future but sometimes some families aren't that lucky. That's why we want to raise as much as we can for The Scottish Association for Children with heart disorders, a charity that is run by parents who have been in similar situations, so that other families get the support needed, so that heart units get specialist equipment to go towards saving another childs life and so they can continue to encourage research and all the incredible work they do.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving - they'll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they'll send your money directly to the charity. So it's the most efficient way to donate - saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
