Story
On Sunday 20 February I ran the Brighton Half Marathon in aid of St Wilfrid's Hospice where my dad Sefko passed away on 17 April last year, only 3 months after being diagnosed with lung cancer.
My time was 2 hours 32 minutes and 13 seconds and only a minor knee injury incurred!
I set a terget of £300 but would love to raise as much as possible, so will leave my page open for a while.
Please sponsor me however much you can, as the Hospice really needs our support to continue to provide the free, specialist and compassionate care to patients and their families at the most difficult of times.
Without donations, the Hospice could not exist, as only 15% of its funding comes from the NHS. The care given to my dad at St Wilfrid's - during the last 3 weeks of his life - was beyond fantastic and the doctors and nurses made every effort to relieve his horrendous pain.
I also worked at St Wilfrid's for over 3 years and met many patients during that time, who were more than happy to tell me how much they appreciated the care that was given to them and the support offered to their families.
This winter was particularly harsh on the Hospice's fundraising events and they are currently experiencing staff shortages - so any contribution you make to this amazing cause will be greatly appreciated by myself, my family and everyone at St Wilfrid's Hospice.

Thank you very much!
