On Monday 12th October, my world got turned upside down, I found out the lumps in my breast were no longer harmless cysts but were now cancerous.

To say I was shocked is something of an understatement, Breast Cancer is something that happens to other people - certainly not me.

From that day, the support and care from the staff at Kidderminster Hospital's Millbrook Suite has been fantastic.  Even though they are pumping my body full of chemicals they manage to make me feel special.

As the chemotherapy attacks my cancer, there are obviously side effects, the main one being my hair.  Anyone that knows me will be aware of the mass of frizz that I have called my hair and my sometimes fruitless attempts to control it.  So I have decided to take control back, shave it off and hopefully raise some money for the unit in the process.

As with all NHS units they do their best with the resources they have, but I would like to help people like me with some home comforts as they go through their treatment.

I am not doing this for any specific item, I trust the team at Millbrook explicitly to do what is best for their patients with any money I raise.

So help me take control of my hair (for the last time for a few months) and support the wonderful people supporting me.
