I am part of a team of 20 women who are attempting to summit Africa's highest mountain, Kilimanjaro. None of us are mountaineers and this will be a huge challenge for us all. However my new mantra will be..."if Ed Balls can do it, so can I!"

What Winchester does not yet have is a hospice for palliative and end of life care. The Winchester Hospice Appeal is now well on the way to its target of £3 million. The refurbished Burrell House, within the grounds of the Royal Hampshire County Hospital, will fill this gap in provision, and will include a Hospice-at-Home service to provide overnight care and support for those most in need in the Winchester area.
