So this is the year I hit the big 50 which has made me reflect on how lucky I am to have got to where I am today. From humble beginnings in a council house with a wealth of love and solid family values.

I have been blessed to have had so many great people touch my life in so many ways. People who have helped and supported me, given me amazing opportunities along the way and who have walked my path beside me.

After meeting my amazing husband David, I achieved my goal of owning a successful Day Nursery. Old MacDonald's has grown so much and I couldn't have done it without my incredibly dedicated staff that always go above and beyond. I am now also lucky enough to work alongside The Grove who have so warmly welcomed me into their family.

As well as achieving my professional goals, all my dreams came true when David and I had our two beautiful children Oliver and Francesca, for whom I am so very grateful.

Unfortunately, I have lost some very important people along the way which reiterates to me how precious life is and that is why I am having a big party to celebrate the occasion.

I have everything I could possibly wish for (apart from a convertible Bentley) lol! Instead of gifts, if you would like to give a gesture I would love to raise as much money as possible for The Pink Ribbon Foundation.

Sadly, I lost my mum 17 years ago to Breast Cancer. The Pink Ribbon Foundation provides a great amount of help and support to a wide range of Breast Cancer charities.
