Money raised through events such as this one is the lifeblood of our organisation. Eighty six pence per pound that you raise will go straight to our front line services that everyday support 1,600 women and children in our refuges and though our specialist services. Two thirds of our refuge residents are children under the age of fourteen and last year alone the national domestic violence helpline that Refuge runs in conjunction with Women’s Aid had over 160,000 calls. However women’s charities still remain largely under funded.
