There is so much goodwill around the London Marathon, and hopefully we can use some of it to raise funds for this excellent animal rescue centre in north-west London.  The Mayhew Animal Home is one of the most effective animal welfare organisations in London, helping thousands of dogs and cats to escape a life of abandonment, cruelty and neglect each year.  It costs around £6,000 a day to run the home, which is entirely dependent on public donations, and which runs a fantastic spectrum of projects for vulnerable animals both on the streets and in their care (visit https://themayhew.org/about/ for more).  I'm doing my little bit by training for & running my third London marathon in support of the Mayhew, so please do get involved and contribute to their heroic work on behalf of so many creatures who can't speak on their own behalf.
