Story

With a little help from my amazing girlfriend, between the two of us, we are going to run 26.2 miles (13.1 each) on the 26th April - the planned date of the London Marathon.  Your donations will contribute toward keeping the incredible Calvert Trust Exmoor charity open during these challenging times and will allow it to continue to provide invaluable experiences to people with a disability along with their friends and family when the opportunity arises again.

Please sponsor us and help Calvert Trust Exmoor who are really struggling to get through this challenging time.

As a kicker, and in the spirit of all the support for our NHS, I will also be completing the challenge appropriately dressed in an elegant tunic and personally donating money to Captain Tom Moore's 100th Birthday Walk for the NHS.

The 2.6 challenge has been set up to Save the UK's Charities - General fundraising has been hit very hard by the COVID-19 pandemic. Thousands of fundraising events have been cancelled and many charities, particularly smaller ones, are struggling to maintain services because of this huge reduction in income. This impacts all sectors of society from children to the elderly as well as the vital work in areas such as palliative care, serious diseases, mental health, housing support, food supplies and countless others that charities support.
