Tough Mudder London West · 26 April 2014 to 27 April 2014 ·

A world class international Memorial & Interpretation Centre telling the collective story of Bomber Command, from all perspectives. Serves as a point for recognition, remembrance and reconciliation for those who served, supported and suffered during WW2.

Story

Help me remember the 25,611 men who are lost their lives flying from Lincolnshire bases, as listed in the Rolls of Honour in Lincoln Cathedral, by raising money for an amazing memorial to be erected above South Common in Lincoln.

Just imagine waving your teenage son goodbye knowing he was Lancaster aircrew in WWII and wondering if you would ever see him again. He would have just over a 50% chance of survival.

On one raid alone, Nuremburg March 1944, more Bomber Command airmen lost their lives than were lost in the Battle of Britain. 105 bombers and some 537 men in one night!

These guys were all volunteers and their average age was 22.  Over 55.500 of them lost their lives during WW2 and their stories as well as those that survived will be told in the Interpretation Centre.

They gave much more than I will ever do but I will do this for them. Help me honour their memory by supporting me through Tough Mudder. Thank you
